How to Ruin a 3D image!
November 28th, 2008 by Art by JolisThis card was done as a commission for a client of mine. It all looks good, right? So how did I ruin it? Let this be a lesson to you and me: I lacquered it, or attempted to. When I applied the lacquer, it warped the paper and destroyed the shaping I had applied to the image. The above photo, BTW, was taken before I committed my grave sin! In asking other crafters, I’ve found out that if you have a glossy paper, it really isn’t necessary to coat it at all!
So, all you other crafty folks, before applying that varnish, think twice! As it turns out, the client loved the card anyway, I just chose not to point out the “error”!!
